This specialized mini-course equips VET educators with pedagogical and psychological strategies to recognize, prevent, and address workplace and classroom biases that affect gender equality, inclusion, and professional development in the construction sector.

It builds the educators’ competences in facilitating reflective learning, promoting empathy, and creating psychologically safe and inclusive environments where all learners can participate equally. 

The course integrates experiential learning, emotional intelligence, and transformative pedagogy to promote long-term attitudinal and behavioral change in educators and students.

Upon completion of this course, educators will:

  • Strengthen their intercultural and gender-sensitive pedagogical competence, aligning with EU principles of equality and social inclusion in VET education.

  • Apply psychological learning theories (constructivism, experiential learning, social role theory) to support learners’ awareness and behavioral change.

  • Integrate reflective teaching practices and inclusive methodologies based on adult learning and emotional intelligence frameworks.

  • Develop facilitation skills to manage sensitive discussions on gender, diversity, and bias using trauma-informed and learner-centered approaches.

  • Enhance their ability to design and deliver competence-based, bias-aware learning experiences, in accordance with the European Framework for Key Competences for Lifelong Learning.
