MORE – Mountains of Research Collaborative Laboratory – Association (MORE CoLAB) is a private non-profit association that has been recognized as a Collaborative Laboratory by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) since 2018. MORE CoLAB is the result of a consortium of research units, laboratories, higher education institutions, technology centers, companies and intermediate and interface institutions.
Based in the Trás-os-Montes Region —one of Portugal’s most rural and inland territories—MORE CoLAB was born with the mission of bringing mountain regions closer together and with the Mediterranean has our horizon. Economic, environmental and social sustainability are our cardinal points and the innovation of products and services, the commitment to qualified employment and respect for the endogenous products, traditions and communities of these regions are our coordinates.
As a key partner in the CoHER project, MORE CoLAB brings expertise at the crossroads of technology, sustainability, and social innovation. Our interdisciplinary work spans construction, digital transformation, and gender research, enabling us to address systemic challenges with innovative and scalable solutions.
