Topics:

Defining Leadership in Construction: Leadership vs. management in construction. Leadership & Gender in Construction. Transformational Leadership; Transactional Leadership; Delegative Leadership; Authoritative Leadership; Participative Leadership; Democratic Leadership, and others. Examples of effective style leadership, stories of female leaders in construction.

Goal: To strengthen participants’ key leadership competencies — communication, confidence, and conflict resolution — for effective teamwork in construction settings.

Topics:

Core skills for female leaders: emotional intelligence, effective communication, strategic thinking, adaptability, resilience, and strong networking skills. Developing assertiveness and self-confidence is crucial for overcoming gender biases, while fostering collaboration and inclusivity helps build strong, effective teams.

Content:

Intro “Trainer or Teacher?”: Adult learning cycle (Kolb), facilitation tips, mentoring stages.

Training of Trainers Concept: individuals are trained to become trainers themselves, amplifying the reach of the training process.

Knowledge Transfer TOT: to increase knowledge transfer, ensuring that important information flows effectively from trainers to trainees.

Quality Training Delivery Ensuring: High-quality training delivery is a critical objective of the TOT process, leading to better learning outcomes.
