ConstructHer Future Mentorship Program Launches in Portugal This January – A European Initiative to Empower Women in Construction

The construction industry is evolving, and diversity is at the heart of this transformation. To accelerate progress, the ConstructHer Future Mentorship Program will officially launch in January 2026 in Portugal, as part of a European initiative to promote inclusion and innovation in the sector. This program aims to connect experienced professionals with female students and early-career women in construction, creating a structured yet flexible environment for learning, networking, and professional growth.

The program will run for approximately six months and is designed to foster meaningful relationships between mentors and mentees. Through regular, informal meetings, participants will exchange knowledge, explore career pathways, and develop essential skills for success in the construction industry. Orientation sessions, webinars, and optional networking events will complement these interactions, ensuring that every participant feels supported throughout the journey.

For mentors, this is an opportunity to share expertise, inspire the next generation, and strengthen leadership and communication skills. Mentors will guide one or two mentees through monthly conversations, offering advice on career development, workplace culture, and confidence building. No prior mentoring experience is required, as resources and guidance will be provided to make the experience rewarding and impactful. Mentors will also gain recognition through a certificate of participation and become part of a European network of committed professionals.

For mentees, the program offers direct access to experienced professionals in the construction sector, personalized guidance on education and career planning, and opportunities to expand their professional network across Europe. Participants will also benefit from webinars, peer discussions, and optional job-shadowing experiences. The program is specifically designed for female students and early-career women in construction, providing a safe and inclusive environment built on respect and encouragement.

The ConstructHer Future Mentorship Program is more than an initiative; it is a movement to empower women and create a more inclusive future for the construction industry. By joining, participants will contribute to positive sector-wide change and help shape a new narrative where diversity drives innovation.

Applications are now open for mentors and mentees. The official launch will be in Portugal in January 2026 and marks the beginning of a transformative journey. Whether you are ready to share your experience or eager to learn and grow, this is your chance to make a difference. Apply today and become part of this European effort to build an inclusive future for women in construction.
